001 Introducing Ettra
On clothing, bodies and the spaces between.
Clothing is our most immediate architecture. A layer between the body and the world, shaping how we move, feel, communicate and inhabit our surroundings.
ETTRA is an independent design studio based in Copenhagen, exploring the relationship between clothing, bodies and the environments we occupy. Rooted in universal design, the studio approaches garments not simply as objects to be worn, but as spaces for expression, protection and connection.
At the heart of Ettra is a curiosity about the many ways we experience the world through our bodies. Rather than designing for an imagined standard body, the studio works collaboratively with people whose lived experiences offer different perspectives on clothing, comfort and function.
Through research, material experimentation and co-design, Ettra seeks to challenge established conventions of fashion while maintaining a strong commitment to aesthetics and craftsmanship.
This journal is an extension of that practice.
A space for documenting processes, sharing conversations and exploring ideas across fashion, art, architecture, material culture and the human experience.
An ongoing collection of observations, experiments and perspectives.
Welcome to Ettra.
